John Gruber of Daring Fireball says that in 2011 we will see not only the iPad 2, but iPad 3 too. All the proofs clear the picture. See, iPhone is updated every summer, iPods every September, and it seems iPad will be updated each April. The problem is that from April to Christmas as much as 6 months, a lot of people will not wait for this holiday shopping iPad.

So according to Gruber, logically it would survive one year with two generations of iPad, and in the future is to produce a new generation of iPod in September.
